About
Welcome to Macchina Pasta Bar, a delightful culinary gem nestled in the vibrant streets of Ciutat Vella, Barcelona. Located at Via Laietana, 55, this pasta haven invites you to explore a delicious and interactive dining experience like no other.
At Macchina Pasta Bar, the concept revolves around customization and fresh ingredients. Guests have the unique opportunity to build their own pasta, choosing from an array of freshly made noodles and delectable sauces. The ambiance is casual yet inviting, making it a perfect stop for individuals or families seeking a quick yet satisfying meal.
Many who've visited, like customer Mandhelyi, have raved about the exceptional value for the quality of food, noting it as some of the best pasta they have ever tasted, prompting a return visit. Other patrons, such as Eldin Begic, echo this sentiment, highlighting the speed of service and the delightful flavors that set Macchina apart in Barcelona's bustling food scene.
While the menu features a straightforward approach to pasta, it allows for personalization with various toppings and sauces, offering something for everyone—even those with dietary restrictions, as Martin Flaherty points out the availability of gluten-free options. Furthermore, the value extends beyond pasta, as the drinks, like a refreshing Aperol Spritz for just €3.90, complement the meal perfectly
However, not every experience has been flawless; a few guests, like Laura Reynaert, mentioned the pasta could be chewier than expected. That said, when dining at Macchina, the atmosphere and the chance to create a pasta dish tailored to your liking make the slight imperfections seem trivial.
In conclusion, Macchina Pasta Bar is a must-try for those exploring the culinary delights of Barcelona. With its friendly staff, budget-friendly prices, and a build-your-own concept that delivers on taste, this bustling pasta bar is sure to become a favorite among locals and tourists alike. Don't miss out on this delightful experience in the heart of the city!
“ Wanted a quick bite to eat, and the gentleman at the front desk of our hotel recommended the restaurant. Casual atmosphere with great selection of fresh pasta. We ordered the pomodoro sauce with spinach and red onions, and another pasta dish with gluten-free pasta. Both tasted so fresh and delicious! Servive was good, and prices were reasonable. ”
“ Almost lost direction in search of this place. Perhaps hunger brought us there easily. We had Carbonara, Truffle and Seafood, and the most generous offer of cheese sprinkle by the boss. Limoncello drink was just perfect to add to our degustation. Happy faces on us in the end. ”
“ The experience was great. Food is very tasty, you get to choose your own pasta and sauce. Pasta is prepared on the spot very quickly even faster that other “fast foods” around. Overall I would recommend it to everyone. ”
“ The food was so delicious, one of the best pasta i've ever eaten. Price was also amazing. Definitely recommended! ”
“ The concept of the restaurant is amazing. The food was absolutely delicious, one of the best pasta we've ever eaten and for an amazing price ad well. It was so good we had to come twice during our stay! The service was also super friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend! ”
“ Decent pasta place for a really good price. You can add toppings to your pasta, but we didn't do that as it cost more. The sauce was very nice and the drinks were cheap (3.90 for an Aperol Spritz and my friend said it was the better than one we paid much more for) But unfortunately the pasta was far too chewy, even for my friend who likes chewy pasta. The pasta should be cooked for longer. ”
“ Excellent pasta you must try in Barcelona. The best is when you build your own pasta! Decent location on a street of affordable yet delicious foods. You have to order at the desk, but they give the plate to you, 4 euro beer. ”
“ Great stop for lunch. And, they have some gluten free options! Winning answer for some members of our group. The service was quick and friendly and the prices were very reasonable. Good place to stop if you are roaming around Barcelona. ”
